La chiesaThe church
Si trova nella parte bassa del paese. Secondo la tradizione e' di origine bizantina. La chiesa, con annesso campanile, ha una semplice facciata nella quale si aprono una piccola porta d'ingresso e due finestrelle.Located in the lower part of the village, according to tradition it is of Byzantine origin. The church, with its bell tower, has a simple façade with a small entrance door and two small windows.
La Madonna degli SchiucchiThe Madonna degli Schiucchi
In passato all'interno era custodita una tela (anch'essa bizantina) raffigurante la Madonna di Costantinopoli. L'opera ando' perduta nel corso degli anni e fu sostituita da un altro quadro con lo stesso soggetto (XVI-XVII secolo). Oggi sull'altare in marmo e' stata sistemata la statua della Madonna degli Schiucchi.In the past, a Byzantine canvas depicting the Madonna of Constantinople was kept inside. The work was lost and replaced by another painting of the same subject (16th-17th century). Today the statue of the Madonna degli Schiucchi stands on the marble altar.
